Melissa Edwards was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, frequently taking trips to the High Country with her family. Loving the area so much, she attended Appalachian State University and graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, majoring in Marketing. While in school she held officer positions in the ASU chapter of the American Marketing Association, where she found ways to gain experience in marketing and leadership. She also got connected with the High Country by working with the folks from Cove Creek Preservation and Development as an intern/volunteer for MusicFest N' Sugar Grove as the Public Relations Director.
As a broker's assistant at Vincent Properties, Melissa is able to apply her marketing skills to the real estate community. With a hobby in photography, she enjoys trying to capture the beauty in the properties that create the High Country and find ways to market them to the public. She sees the importance of the internet in the marketing world and plans to continue broadening her knowledge on the subject, along with obtaining a Real Estate License.
