Over twenty years ago David and Karen met as students at Appalachian State University.

While others were lost in their book, these two spent their free time out and about exploring the dusty roads, backwoods, byways and mountains and streams of the High Country.

After graduation and marriage, the pair moved to Mooresville, NC and began life together. Careers began in interior design and NASCAR marketing and real estate.

Time passed, twins arrived, a beautiful daughter and a precious son. Then a dog and the family were complete.

With the growth of their family David and Karen began longing to move back to the Mountains of North Carolina.

Finally the pair decided to take the plunge and move back to the mountains.

The two packed the kids and dog in the family van and headed home, to the High country.

Karen took over management of Blowing Rock Country Cabins, while David began selling Mountain properties. Early in 2007 Karen earned her real estate license, and the pair joined Vincent Properties.
